So it was announced last Sunday that in Melbourne metro lockdown (2nd step) was extended until Sunday 28 Sep at least until the next step. That will make it 8 weeks, which seems so long, yet somehow I’ve adjusted like it’s the new way of life. Lucky for us, we could get a permit for my hubby as essential worker and still be able to send our kids to childcare twice a week. I was quite nervous at first, but they haven’t been sick since stage 4 lock down and the there are less kids at childcare these days. I’m so grateful I’m still able to send them there as my work has been very busy with staff member on leave.
Anyway, the government has released a roadmap for when it can move to 3rd (earliest 26 Oct with < 5 cases for 14 days) and last step (earliest 23 Nov with 0 cases for 14 days), seems like so long to go.. hopefully we do get some freedom during summer and in time for Christmas!
