So we’ve been in Stage 3 lockdown for about 3 weeks and the news about corona virus doesn’t seem to be getting any better. There’s been talk that Melbourne would go into a Stage 4 lockdown for 6 weeks, and it actually happened tonight!
The premiere announced that we’ll have a curfew from tonight where no-one is allowed out from 8pm to 5am, exercise and shopping will be limited to within 5km of the home, and all school students will return to at-home learning, also childcare centres will be closed from Wed 11.59pm. I guess it’s the childcare centres closing that will affect us the most, as I am still working from home while my partner is considered an essential worker. We are still yet to get confirmation if we are allowed to send our kids there with one parent as an essential worker.
Just feeling a bit deflated at the moment, as we’ve been doing the right thing for a while, but restrictions are even tighter now. I guess we’ll be making the most of spending more time with our kids and family!
