At the beginning…

I’ve started this blog to account for the events of when the COVID-19 breakout started here. I heard about it on the news and from my work at the university impacting international students a few months ago, but never thought it would reach us so quickly. I live in Melbourne, Australia, with my family – my husband and 2 young boys, a toddler 3.5 years old and a baby thats just turned 1 year old. I also work 4 days, and as the prime minister had just announce a lockdown about to happen last night, I’m fortunate enough to be able to work from home. My husband is a delivery driver in the logistics business and that means he’s an essential service and needed. I have been keeping my kids at home for a week now while I work, and that is no easy feat!

If anyone is reading this or cones across my blogs, I’m hoping to connect with others virtually, eventhough we’re isolated physically, and we might not know each other in person, this is when we need to connect with others to get through it together. I’m hoping with some of my blogs, I’m able to share my experiences and stories, inspire or just reflect on what’s going on during this turbulent and dynamic time, and especially with those of you with young children and/or working from home, how we can be flexible, creative, innovative, and cope with the situation.

Anyway, time to sign off, I’m rather tired now…
